Omaha, Nebraska is still developing and shaping to todayÂ’s current trend of cultural diversity. The top selection is the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge on a moonlit evening. This bridge links two states, Nebraska and Iowa hoisted 60 feet over the Missouri River. The decks, cables and pylons are all are covered with lights and in the evening making this one of the most romantic spots for a proposal. No matter which side of the bridge you start at, there are 3000 feet making a memory that will last a lifetime. Go to the middle and you’re in two states at the same time. Just make sure the diamond ring sparkles as much as the stars above and moonlight glistening on of the Missouri River.

The next spot is the Mount Vernon Gardens; located on top of the Missouri River bluffs. The panoramic view is just the beginning of an amazing life when your proposal is accepted in the middle of these grounds. Great place for a romantic picnic, while you enjoy the afternoon or a gorgeous sunset. According to tradition, if you haven’t decided to marry yet, a visit to the Mount Vernon Gardens with a backdrop of the Missouri River will seal the deal.

Heartland of America Park offers another water environment in Omaha, Nebraska. Contained in this small inlet of water is a 300 foot water fountain with an amazing water display and colored light ballet. Whether you’re visiting the park during the day or evening, it’s a spectacular view for setting with the ambiance set for a proposal. Hire a gondola and take a romantic stroll along the waterway, complete with a cool breeze during the day and the moonlight during the evening. It’s the perfect setting for a proposal with the Missouri River as a backdrop.

Lauritzen Gardens is described as an urban oasis composed of Victorian styled botanical gardens. The garden to select for a proposal is the Garden in the Glen. It starts with a 300 foot long moving stream made up of small water pools and waterfalls cascading over the rocks set into place with precision. Lining the stream are collectible plants, shade trees and manicured lawns, perfect for kneeling as you ask the question that will change your life forever. Enjoy the calmness of the garden seating in the middle of tranquility.
