Scenic Views: Great Places to Visit in Georgia

There are many great places to go when you visit Georgia. If you like the ocean, you may like the scenic views of Tybee Island or Jekyll Island. At Jekyll Island you can park your car and rent a bike to ride all around the island. There are many economical and high end lodges, motels and hotels in the area. Read on for more great places to visit in Georgia.

Georgia is a great state to see the sights.  It’s a great place to spend some time and sample some of our down home hospitality. If you have kids you won’t want to miss Six Flags over Georgia. There is also Six Flags White Water, so if you like getting wet this is the place for you.

Six Flags over Georgia – located in Austell (Metro Atlanta) – has many thrill rides. One of the thrill rides is called Goliath. It’s huge and defies gravity. There is another thrill ride that takes you up 16 stories and drops you straight down. It’s called Acrophobia. Click here to see all the rides at Six Flags over Georgia.

Six Flags White Water – located in Atlanta – is a water park that will give you much fun and many thrills.  There are 50 attractions; one of them is called the Cliffhanger; it’s a 90-foot free fall. You and your kids will love it. Click here to view more about Six Flags White Water.

Chateau Elan – located in Braselton – is the place to go if you like wine.  This is a beautiful estate. Nothing says I love you like planning your wedding here. You can come to Chateau Elan to see how wine is made. You can attend wine tastings. Click here for more information about Chateau Elan.

Waterfalls of North Georgia – there are 125 waterfalls located in Georgia. Click here to see all the waterfalls in Georgia. Click on the county to see all the waterfalls in each county. I have always enjoyed going to Tallulah Gorge to watch the falls there.

Biking trails in Georgia – There is a world class Tour de Georgia bike race.  It’s an 8 mile course and is located around the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia. The GIHP is where the 1996 Centennial Olympics were held. There is so much to do in this area. You can plan your wedding reception in this park. Georgia golf – If golf is your thing, there are many places to play. There is one golf course fairly near my home. It’s called the Sugar Hill Golf course.  One of the most beautiful is located in Acworth, Georgia. Cobblestone Golf Course was featured in Golf Digest as one of the top 100 courses in the state. thanks Brenda.. there are a lot more places too. I may go for more. I wish I knew how to upload pics in the text like everyone else does. When I try it doesn't work.

I've been to Georgia twice and the food was good, the people were friendly, it was just too hot for me.  Promoted.

I always wanted to visit Georgia since I read Gone With the Wind when I was 14, I have been to florida though
